Maeghan considers yoga to be an extension of the heart. She began to practice yoga as a vehicle for self-care and stress relief, and yoga changed her life. She believes that yoga is for everybody and that the power of change comes from within. It is a core part of her life. Maeghan loves bringing the healing powers of yoga, mindfulness, and meditative practices to both adults and children.
Outside of yoga, Maeghan loves reading, baking, floral design, and spending time with her loved ones. She spent many years as a high school English teacher. She also served as the yoga teacher for staff, elementary, and high school students in a large school district during her time as a classroom teacher.
In 2019, she completed her 200 HR YTT with Breathe for Change, an organization that focuses on the importance of social-emotional learning for students and self-care for teachers. She is also certified to teach children's yoga and is currently building towards her 500 HR certification.
