Yoga Classes

Original Hot Yoga

WHY15May22-149.jpg

“We start with a breathing exercise” and so it begins — the beginner yoga class known as Bikram yoga, Bikram method yoga, the original hot yoga, and 26&2. This yoga practice remains one of the best ways to bring your body back to health and to maintain that good health, discipline the mind, and allow for the observation of the inner landscape of your life.

This class is a therapeutic program designed for those with inflexibility and injuries to improve their overall health. We will work through a set series of postures to ensure we work every part of the body in every single class. This class is designed to be comprehensive and suitable for absolute beginners with no experience required.

For those with physical and mental struggles, Wellness Hot Yoga is a place to find relief. It is a place to develop the body and mind in a way that improves the quality of life. The hot yoga practice teaches you to be strong and flexible — regardless of age or starting ability. The regular practice of hot yoga keeps you able to move freely through your life, allowing you to be more present, resilient, and vital. The community of teachers and students will support you along your journey.

The class is a simple, accessible practice of a series of yoga postures done in a heated room, led by a set of verbal directions leading to a life-changing transition. It is designed for everyone, it is designed for YOU! All you have to do is show up, we will help you with the rest.

Hot Yoga classes are 90 minutes.

The room is heated to 105 degrees with 40 % humidity.

Warm Yin Yoga -

Yin Yoga is a quiet contemplative class that consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses that work deeply into the connective tissues and fascia of the body. Postures are held typically from three - five minutes (sometimes longer) allowing for deep stretching and relaxation. Yin Yoga combines classic yoga, the concept of the meridians in Chinese medicine, Taoist philosophy and Buddhist meditation techniques.

Yin poses are still, deep, and quiet. The atmosphere of a Yin Yoga class is unhurried, internal, and relaxed, with a focus on self-exploration and discovery. Students are encouraged to experiment with the poses, since skeletal variation—the proportion and orientation of the bones—is different for each person. Alignment is everything—and not the same for every body. Understanding how anatomical differences affect joint mobility helps students to appreciate their own unique range of motion.

Yin classes 60 minutes long.  The room is 80- 85 degrees.
